GRAPH Phuket is probably one of the better-known coffee names in Phuket Town, especially if you have come across the brand in Chiang Mai.
It was also one of the first Phuket cafés I wanted to revisit.
The brand started from Chiang Mai, with its early café roots going back to 2010.
Over the years, it grew from a small coffee shop into a wider coffee group with its own roasting, cold brew products and several different concepts.
The Phuket Old Town branch can be along Phang Nga Road in a Sino-Portuguese shophouse, and keeps things darker and warmer, with wood tones, low lighting, and sofa seats.
There is a clear focus on Thai specialty coffee, from sourcing and roasting to the way its drinks are presented.
If you want something beyond the typical usual Black or White, GRAPH also has a set of signature drinks which is fairly interesting.
These include Downtown (THB 155) with fresh lime, raw sugar, mint, ginger ale and cold brew coffee, Graph No.29 (THB 155) with nitro cold brew, pineapple and lime, and Magma (THB 145) made with espresso, avocado and almond milk.
After taking some time to flip through the pictorial menu, I decided to go for the Monochrome (THB 165), one of its signature drinks made with espresso, activated charcoal, vanilla and milk.
It looked dramatic in the glass, with the black layer sitting over the milk, and was smooth, mildly sweet and creamy, with the charcoal giving it more colour than flavour. No regrets.
There are some small bites too, including Canelé and Madeleines (THB 75) which are quite worth having.
GRAPH Phuket takes coffee seriously without making the experience feel too stiff, and the signature drinks give you something different from the usual café order.
