If you are looking out for ‘hidden’ coffee spots in the CBD, here is one found at Tanjong Pagar right inside Frasers Tower – which is opposite Amoy Street Food Centre.

22 Grams Café (not to be confused with 20grams Coffee Roastery) is a coffee-specialty place that can sit about 10 or so customers. More of a grab-and-go place for the office crowd.

It is founded by a group of passionate professional baristas, including a barista previously from %Arabica.

Other than the espresso-based coffee of Piccolo ($5), Caffe Latte ($6, $7), Cappuccino ($6, $7) and Long Black ($5), they also offer Panama Geisha Drip Coffee (412) and Signature Cold Brew with Fresh Coconut Water ($7).

Coffee is the focus here, currently using a blend of Brazilian and Panama Caturra coffee beans. They aim to use premium specialty-grade beans that do not compromise on cost.

The Brazilian beans provide that smooth, full-body texture with hints of chocolate and nuts.

As for the Panama Caturra, as it is a high-altitude coffee bean grown in the mountains of Panama, it has a bright, fruity flavour with a clean finish.

Using this blend of two types of beans, they create this complex-tasting coffee with a rich, full-bodied flavour with slight bright and sweet notes – pretty well-balanced I must say.

While their coffee could be say a dollar more than similar coffee places around the CBD, it has a round and smooth aftertaste.

Food-wise, they are limited to wraps for now, offering variants of Egg White Mushroom Avocado, Turkey Ham & Cheese, Chicken Tikka, and Texmex Beef.

They are currently offering a 1-for-1 Promo for their coffee till 16 Dec as an opening special.
