Mashi No Mashi, the Japanese Wagyu ramen joint by the acclaimed Wagyumafia collective, has opened at Nankin Row, Pickering Street.
Its earlier outlet at Guoco Midtown in Bugis has closed.
Led by Chef Hisato Hamada, Mashi No Mashi is known for its indulgent Wagyu ramen and bold, high-energy dining style that blends Japanese flair with street-inspired vibes.
Diners can expect the same upbeat atmosphere and theatrical service where dishes are enthusiastically called out as they are served. (You know where to point your camera.)
However, I did note that the new space is very much more compact than the last.
Signature favourites such as the Ultra Wagyu Ramen ($18.80) and Ultra Truffle Ramen ($21.80) has returned.
These bowls feature thin noodles and a 100% Wagyu bone broth made from Chef Hisato’s hand-selected Ozaki beef, offering a clean yet full-bodied flavour that sets it apart from heavier tonkotsu styles.
Also on the menu is the Wagyu Tsukemen ($23.80), a dipping-style ramen with thick noodles, Wagyu slices, soft-boiled egg, bamboo shoots, cabbage, and seaweed, served with a concentrated Wagyu dipping sauce.
Do not drink the broth directly or you will find it very salty, dip the noodles instead for balance and richness.
Other signatures such as the Wagyu Gyoza ($6.80 for 3 pieces) and the house-made Wagyusco hot sauce have made a comeback.
My favourite remains the Wagyusco Red, with koji and yuzu adding a tangy kick that works across ramen and sides.
While prices are on the premium side, Mashi No Mashi has built a following for offering a distinctive Wagyu ramen experience that feels both bold and theatrical.
Also, good to know that prices have been reduced from its previous location.
