So, there is a new bistro tucked away in the Henderson Industrial Building at Block 213.
NOSH is a hidden gem that might take some effort to find. For those willing to venture off the beaten path, this cosy bistro offers a relaxed dining experience.
Started as a food truck near Marina Bay Sands, there is another NOSH at Jalan Legundi in Sembawang.

When I visited the newer Henderson outlet a few times in the evening, I realised it was quiet and somewhat empty.
Wait, should I be worried?
Despite its modern interior, with large communal tables and minimalist decor, there appeared to be a noticeable absence of customers.
Perhaps it was due to the timings of my visits. I am sure lunch time will present a different situation.
Actually, while the empty tables could potentially detract from the vibrancy that some diners seek; some may just prefer undiscovered places like this.
Food wide, the menu is diverse, offering items such as pastas, burgers, and seafood.
A particular highlight going around social media is their XL Fish & Chips. But to me, that’s more gimmick than anything.
Their usual Western menu includes classic favourites like Carbonara Pasta ($18.90), Laksa Pasta ($19.90), Fish & Chips ($16.90) and their signature NOSH Chicken Chop ($18.90).
For all-day breakfast enthusiasts, dishes such as the Big Breakfast ($18.90), Shakshuka ($16.90) and Eggs Benedict ($18.90) provide hearty options.
If you prefer something lighter, there are the Forest Mushroom Soup ($12.90), Chicken Wingstick ($12.90), and crispy Mozzarella Sticks ($12.90).
I decided to have the signature NOSH’s Fish & Chips ($16.90), with light, crispy batter encasing Pacific dory. (Though the XL version uses Halibut.)
The dory itself was tender (but some may not like the flakiness), and the accompanying house-made tartar sauce added just the right tangy note to balance the dish.
A simple classic.
Next, I tried the Laksa Pasta ($19.90), the locally-inspired fusion pasta that turned out to be quite surprising
The creamy laksa sauce clung to the pasta, and the combination of tiger prawns, fish cake, and tau pok brought a familiar Singaporean flavour.
Also rich without being overwhelming.
The Meatball Marinara Pasta ($17.90) was comforting and hearty, with succulent meatballs in a tangy marinara sauce.
The sauce was straight-forward and not overly complex, but it delivered on warmth and heartiness.
While most online reviews seem to praise the quality of food, a few diners have commented on the inconsistency of certain dishes, though these appear to be more isolated experiences.
I found their food generally not bad. But perhaps it is so wide-ranging, it is hard to pinpoint which are the ones that really stand out.
NOSH @ Henderson is an option for those looking for hearty, Western-style meals in a relaxed and friendly environment.
While its location may be tricky, it can be worth the journey for those seeking a quiet, unpretentious meal away from the city’s hustle.
