Another Korean Fried Chicken brand has landed in Singapore.

Daily Beer 생활맥주 makes its mark with its first international venture outside of South Korea, at 212 Telok Ayer Street.

This review would be more about my experience with Daily Beer 생활맥주 in Seoul.

Daily Beer 생활맥주 SEOUL - Korean Fried Chicken 01

Founded in 2014, Daily Beer has over 370 outlets across South Korea.

The ambience is generally energetic, likely a nod to its popularity among younger crowds in Seoul.

The décor has some wood furnishings and ambient lighting, fostering an environment where the beer seems to take more of a center stage.

Talking about beer, when I visited one of the outlets in Seoul, I was informed (by several staff) that ordering a beer was “compulsory”, though this ruling didn’t seem to apply across branches.

The wait of the Fried Chicken, also seemed on the longer side (say about 35-40 minutes which was considerably long).

The menu at Daily Beer is centered around their acclaimed Korean Fried Chicken, known for its distinctive double-frying technique.

The original plain fried chicken is dubbed the “Angry Bird” (19,500 Won), which sets a standard with its golden, crispy exterior and juicy interior.

For reference over in Singapore, the prices for the Original are as follows: eight whole pieces ($30.90), boneless chicken ($28.90), and wings at ($27.90).

The Original Angry Bird maintained its crisp exterior and moist interior, seasoned to enhance the natural flavours of the chicken without overpowering them.

There are also other flavours such as Angry Bird Red (spicy sauce), Black (sweet garlic soy sauce), Crunch (with corn flakes, garlic, sweet and spicy seasoning), and Kimchi (spicy kimchi seasoning).

Half and half are available.

I also had the Angry Bird Black, which featured a sweet garlic soy sauce.

The Angry Bird Black’s sauce was sweet and savoury at the same time, coating each piece evenly. Not bad a choice as well.

Beyond chicken, Daily Beer also offers Crispy Tenders, Shrimp, Chicken Style Chicken Salad, and Cajun Chicken Salad.

Although Daily Beer enjoys considerable popularity in Seoul, its presence in Singapore is still fresh. We shall see if they are able to pique the interest of local diners.
