Another day, another hidden café. This time, I found a Hovoh Café along Mohamed Sultan Road (very near River Valley Road), which is across Gelatolabo.

Hovoh Café

From the outside, this looks like a Parisian-style café with bottles of wine displayed near the entrance. However, walking in and after a closer look at the menu, I realised it was not quite.

Built on primary a grab-and-go concept, Hovoh Cafe on Mohamed Sultan Road offers nutritious and simple-to-eat food to the public (and CP Residences’ members).

There are two small dining area in the cafe where you can still sit down and have a cuppa though.

Alternatively, you can place an order online and pick up your meal on the way to work or on your way home.

Hovoh’s menu conveniently separates breakfast and lunch options.

In the morning, have the Breakfast Tortilla Wrap ($7.50) with chicken patty, sliced egg, cabbage and cherry tomato. English Muffin ($7.50) has the same chicken patty but with poached egg and a slice of cheese instead.

For lunch, each meal is carefully created to provide you with a balanced diet.

The Green Curry Pork White Brown Rice ($14.80), for example, has slow cooked pork, brown rice and plenty of vegetables, including edamame, sweet corn and cabbage salad. Hovoh’s Red Curry Fish White Brown Rice ($16.80) and Yellow Curry Surf & Turf White Brown Rice ($15.80) are possibly not bad choices as well.

For lunch, each meal is carefully created to provide you with a balanced diet. Other menu items are extremely easy to have on the go.

You can take the Hovoh Signature Banh Mi ($12.80), Ham & Cheese Deluxe Sandwich ($12.80), or Classic Burrito Flour Tortilla ($12.80) with you and have them at your convenience.

I had the Chicken Banh Mi ($12.80) filled with savoury meat (can also choose pork), fresh vegetables, pickles, and a smear of soft pate.

The part I liked best was actually and lightly crusty and fluffy baguette, which is sourced from a popular Vietnamese eatery in Singapore.

Cakes wise, there is a selection of Carrot Cake ($6.80), Chocolate Truffle Cake ($6.80), Lychee Cheese ($7.20), Yuzu Lemon Cheese ($7.20), Tiramisu ($6.80) and Ondeh Ondeh Cake ($6.80).

Hovoh Café

Located near the River Valley area, Hovoh is another cafe for you to get your lunch fix quickly and easily. Hospitable service as well.
