A Slow Cup has moved from Robertson Walk to a new home at The Cathay, now on the sixth floor within Painted Nail Bar.
Yes, the café shares space with the nail salon, so you might find yourself sipping coffee while others are getting their manicures done. It is an unusual setup.
The interior keeps to the same spirit as before.
Warm tones, wood accents and a pared-down style create a snug corner.
It is not large, and seats are limited, so it feels more like a spot for a quiet recharge.
The idea of “slowing down” is still central here, and the café seems happy to hold onto that theme despite the seemingly busier Orchard setting.
For coffee aficionados, A Slow Cup Cafe offers a variety of coffee options, including Espresso ($4), Piccolo ($4.50), Black ($5), White ($6), and Mocha ($6.50).
It uses its signature “Mellow Magic” blend roasted by Flip Coffee Roasters, a medium roast with beans from Brazil and Colombia.
It is described as smooth and mellow, with notes of stone fruit, demerara sugar, caramel and milk chocolate.
I tried the White ($6) which was balanced and rounded, with chocolate warmth that paired easily with milk.
For small bites, the menu lists bakes like Banana, Walnut & Sesame Bread ($7), Smoked Sea Salt Choc Chip Cookie ($5), Roasted Tomato Brie Tartine ($6.50), and Gochujang & Caramelised Honey Biscuit with Nori Butter ($6).
A Slow Cup remains what its name suggests.
