Geneo is a new hub at Science Park Drive, built for the science and tech crowd, combining work and lifestyle in one spot.
Think labs, offices, and yes, restaurants and cafés with clean, modern vibes all rolled into one.
Found inside the sleek Geneo, Olive & Peach feels like one of those cafés you head to because you need artisanal coffee there, not because you’re chasing the next “hidden gem”.
Olive & Peach is neat, practical, and clearly designed with the working crowd in mind.
The interior is pleasant. It’s got the usual modern café palette with white walls, dark wooden floors, green-tiled counter.
Soft lighting from globe lamps gives the space a gentle glow, and there are a few stools lined up against the window if you’re just grabbing a quick bite.
The menu centres around specialty coffee and focaccia sandwiches.
The focaccia sandwiches (from $7.20 onwards) are made with freshly baked bread. Fillings range from classic combinations like egg, tomato and mozzarella to more inventive options featuring local ingredients.
I went for the Beef Focaccia Sandwich.
I asked for it to be heated up after ordering, since it was served cold. But honestly, it was still pretty cold in the middle when I bit in.
The bread was soft, and the fillings were nicely seasoned with decent flavour. It would be good if they could find a way to keep the bread crisp on the outside.
They’ve got a few cakes on display too, which include Lemon Mousse, Double Chocolate Fudge, and an Adzuki Bean Green Tea Mousse Cake.
The Adzuki Bean Green Tea Mousse Cake ($5.80) looked great with its clean layers and matcha rosettes on top.
Flavour-wise, it had that classic earthy matcha and mild sweetness from the red bean. But the cream layer didn’t quite hit the mark—felt a bit flat. Not bad.
Olive & Peach is clearly built for the Geneo crowd who want decent sandwiches without having to leave the building.
