Here’s a gelato cafe in the heartlands that requires a bit of search – it felt like uncovering a hidden gem.
Geometry Gelato recently expanded to a new location at 95D Henderson Road, opposite Bukit Merah View Food Centre.
Its original outlet is Bukit Merah (this review was in 2016!), and this new spot is known as the “City Vue at Henderson”.
However, finding the exact location might require a bit of navigating due to its tucked-away setting.
It maintains Geometry’s signature minimalist design but is more spacious and well-lit than their original Bukit Merah outlet.
Founded by Emma Goh and Jeslyn Yeo, Geometry offers a selection of gelato flavours crafted with a clear commitment to natural ingredients.
Some of the recommended flavours include Earl Grey Tie Guan Yin, Hazelnut, Dark Chocolate Truffle, Goma, Uji Matcha, Bing Bong aka Paddlepop, Chrysanthemum with Goji Berries and Salted Caramel with Brownies.
Individual servings include a Single Scoop ($3.80), Double Scoop ($7.20), and adding a cone ($0.80). The Pentagon, featuring 5 scoops with 5 toppings, is available for $18.80.
Premium flavours are an additional $0.80 per scoop.
You can get a Belgian Waffle ($6.00) with an option to add a single scoop ($3.80) or an extra scoop ($3.40).
The Homemade Brownie is priced at $6.50, with similar add-on options for scoops.
For something more interesting, try the Handcrafted Almond Tart ($7.80), with options to add scoops.
The Goma, made from organic golden and black sesame, had a beautifully earthy taste that reminded me of roasted nuts but with a silky, creamy texture.
Meanwhile, the Bing Bong flavour was a flashback to childhood, resembling the sweet, colourful paddle-pop ice cream many grew up with.
Overall, Geometry Gelato balances its artisanal approach with a warm, neighbourhood feel. And it is quite spacious.
