Who doesn’t love eggs for breakfast?

There is just something innately comforting about starting your day with a hearty meal that includes the versatility of eggs.

Breakfast Club has opened another outlet, situated in the bustling basement of Tiong Bahru Plaza.

And you can have breakfast items for dinner too.

It originated from a stall at Kovan Serangoon with affordably priced all-day-breakfast items. (However, it closed its Holland Village outlet some time back.)

Though prices are slightly higher here understandably.

Oh yah,, this isn’t the famed The Breakfast Club at London; far from it.

The version found at Tiong Bahru Plaza prides itself on a more uncomplicated approach, for unmistakable fuss-free meals.

All day breakfast items include Breakfast Plate ($12.50), Eggs Benedict ($15) and Omelette & Rosti Hash ($11).

Diving into their menu, the Breakfast Plate ($12.50) beckons as a hearty option.

This plate boasts an array of breakfast classics: pork sausage, hashbrown, cherry tomatoes, baked beans, soft scrambled eggs that are neither too runny nor too dry.

There were also sautéed mushrooms offering a plain earthy undertone, and a crispy bacon strip that was salty and slightly chewy.

Each element brings something to the table, though did not particularly stand out but provided a reliable start to the day.

The Omelette & Rosti Hash ($11) was another dish that caught my attention.

With an omelette stuffed with cheese and paired with bacon strips, the rosti felt a tad thin and sparse.

The egg was decent, but a more robust cheesy flavour would have elevated the overall taste.

If you are seeking variety, the menu also lists Duck on Mash ($16), Chicken Cutlet ($9.90), Fish & Chips ($9.90), and Chicken Chop ($9.90).

While I didn’t delve into these, it is worth noting that there’s more to Breakfast Club than just breakfast, including sides like Cajun Fries ($5), Chicken Pop ($7), and Tater Tots ($5).

Interestingly, for a place bearing “Breakfast” in its name, the absence of coffee or tea on the menu feels like a missed opportunity.

But if you are in the mood for something cold and refreshing, the Lemonade ($4), Orange Juice ($4), and Iced Lemon Tea ($4) are available, though they lean towards the sweeter side.

Breakfast Club at Tiong Bahru Plaza offers a straightforward, no-frills breakfast experience.

While it might not redefine your breakfast expectations, it certainly provides a dependable option for morning till night when you just want something familiar.
