Signature Ondeh Ondeh Cookies ($27.80)
As Baker Brew’s best sellers year after year, the Ondeh Ondeh Cookies are back by popular demand.
If you love your Ondeh Ondeh with caramelised palm sugar and aromatic grated coconut, you would love this interpretation.
These aromatic green pandan-infused doughs contain a substantial amount of Gula Melaka coconut filling that is slow cooked for hours.
This produces a mellow and flavourful sweet taste, complemented with the crunchy coconut fillings.
I think what I liked about them are that they are bite-sized (so you can have two or more without willing guilty), and the inside remain surprisingly moist.
In that aspect, I would recommend keeping them at room temperature rather than within a fridge. However, they are best consumed within 10 days after collection for the best quality.
All cookies are heat-sealed with moisture absorbent packs.
Muah Chee Peanut Cookies ($26.80)
This really gives that feeling of nostalgia. To me, the essence of Muah Chee is the fragrant peanut flavour, and these cookies capture them very well.
These crunchy cookies are made with roasted peanuts and peanut butter, then further topped with more ground peanuts for that extra boost of flavour.
Pop one in the mouth, and experience that melt-in-the-mouth sensation, along with pronounced nutty tones from the roasted peanuts. Best to go with a cup of teh-si.
Pineapple Bak Kwa Cookies ($26.80)
Something NEW, something sweet and savoury.
This is a savoury spin on traditional sweet pineapple tart, in which each butter cookie is filled with premium Thai pineapple paste blended with REAL bak kwa.
Actually, the bak kwa surprise only comes towards the end, and just gives that delicate tinge of savouriness.
Plus, the cookies (or should I say tarts) are made with less sugar so that are not as sweet as the usual ones, while the flavours of the tangy-fruity pineapple are still there.
