Rooftop view checked. View of Singapore skyline in a way, checked. A little ‘hidden gem’, also checked.
Well, not so ‘hidden’ anymore.
When I visited POUT Rooftop Cafe, it was already buzzing.
Many Gen Zs have found their way up here, taking in the breeze, snapping photos, and settling into the rooftop calm above Clarke Quay (at CMO Building).

The lift (head up to Level 6) brings you up from the bustle of street level into a space with natural light, leafy plants, and a view that feels surprisingly calm outside.
It is not the highest rooftop in town, but the elevation gives you a sense of escape.
Staff greet you warmly, though you can tell the team is still finding their pace as the place is relatively new.
On the food side, the bakes are meant to complement the drinks rather than act as full meals.
Bakes include Croissant ($7), Almond Croissant ($8), Pain au Chocolat ($8), Kouign Amann ($7), Brown Sugar Kouign Amann ($8) and Cinnamon Roll ($8).
The Brulee Basque Cheesecake ($8) had a neat crack at the top, a creamy centre, and just enough caramelised bitterness to balance the richness.
Definitely worth ordering, and probably the one thing I would recommend above all else here.
Classic coffee options include Black ($4.90) and White ($5.90), with add-ons like oat milk, syrups or an extra shot ($1.00).
They use two blends, Apache which is a Brazil and Colombia mix, and Sunbird which blends beans from Ethiopia, Brazil and Laos.
I had the Apache as a White and the flavours came through creamy and rounded, the chocolate warmth pairing well with milk, smooth and easy to drink.
For the Sunbird, I ordered it Black, and it was lighter than expected, with gentle acidity, a hint of citrus, and a soft floral lift.
POUT Rooftop Cafe is a space for light bites, coffee, and a view that feels like a breather from the city below.
It is easy to picture someone hiding out here with a book or catching up with a friend. I left thinking it could become a favourite with a bit of sharpening.
