Swee Lee Cafe at the revamped CQ @ Clarke Quay is a café that brings together coffee and music in a fresh way, offering a different kind of hangout spot.

It is found in a converted warehouse (next to FairPrice Finest), combining a place to eat with a music store, which makes it feel lively and welcoming.

I tried the Kaya French Toast & Dippy Eggs ($17) because it sounded the most unique.

The French toast had a nice golden outside, soft inside, and the kaya added a sweet, creamy flavor that wasn’t overpowering.

The eggs were cooked just right, making them perfect for dipping the toast. I did wish there was some sauce for the eggs though to make it more complete.

For those who want for ‘fun’ in their coffee seriously, Swee Lee has a good range.

There are specialty ones like Kaya Cloud ($8), Gula Melaka Tonic ($8), Lychee Granita ($8), Hibiscus Coffee ($8), to Kopiccino ($10).

While the concept of a music-themed café might suggest a potentially noisy environment, the ambiance at Swee Lee is surprisingly relaxed.

The background music is kept at a pleasant level, allowing for easy conversation. This thoughtful consideration ensures that the café is suitable for both quick bites and longer stays, where customers can enjoy their meals without feeling rushed.
