A friend recommended Tenderbest Makcik Tuckshop at Punggol Park for a gathering, for its large open space with comfy vibes.

The ambiance lets you connect with nature, offering both cosy indoor seating and refreshing outdoor options for those who prefer a breeze with their meal.

With a 220-seater space, I can see why this would be appealing to families and larger groups who want to order a spectrum of food.

This concept is part of the larger Tenderfresh family, but this spot has its own twist with some pretty cool offerings.

Starting with their Roasted Chicken Leg Sedap Lemak ($12.90), there is an option to have the chicken leg roasted or “tom yum”.

I noted that the chicken was infused subtly with tom yum spices on the skin, which offered a gentle tangy (tad salty) kick.

Although the nasi served alongside was a bit on the mushy side, it was aromatic enough that I nearly finished the entire portion, which says a lot about its flavour.

Another highlight is their Scrambled Truffle Egg Burger ($12.90), served with truffle fries.

This burger is another take on a classic breakfast-meets-burger staple, and I appreciated the eggs’ creamy texture – tucked into buttery, fluffy brioche buns.

For those who favour some Western-style food, the Crispy Skin Chicken Chop ($11.50) was recommended.

It is available with either crispy fries, coleslaw, and garlic bread or paired with fragrant rice and coleslaw, depending on your preference.

The chicken itself was well-prepared with a satisfyingly crisp exterior while maintaining a juicy interior.

Additionally, the outlet features a section by Kamala Express, which offers traditional South Indian fare like Prata and Thosai, adding a diverse range of flavours to the menu.

For price reference, the Plain Prata is $4 for 2 pieces.

They have got the usual from Egg with Cheese, to Prata Bomb, Honey Prata, Tissue Prata, to Chococolate Banana Prata.

Another feature of this outlet is its collaboration with Häagen-Dazs, providing a dessert counter that boasts a variety of ice cream flavours.
