USHIO Sumiyaki & Sake Bar is a beautiful restaurant nestled within the grand structure of OUE Tower, offering stunning views of Marina Bayfront.

Its name, inspired by the pristine water that separates its location from the bay, translates to “tide”. The interior of the restaurant features modern Ukiyo-e art paintings, creating a unique and stylish ambiance.
The restaurant specializes in Japanese-style charcoal grilled delicacies called Kushiyaki, along with creative sharing plates that are reminiscent of Japanese tapas.
The Kushiyaki menu features a wide variety of options, from Tori Tsukune and Buta Tsukune to Gochujang Kurobuta and Wagyu Niku. The Salmon, Tamago Mentai, and Buta Yaki are also popular choices.
For those who cannot decide, there’s the Kushiyaki Moriawase, which is a 10-stick platter of Chef’s selected grilled skewers.

If you are looking for a truly authentic French dining experience, look no further than SO France Bistro.
The restaurant takes pride in working closely with artisanal producers from France, ensuring that every dish on their menu is made with only the freshest and best quality ingredients.
Their special Kris+ Gastronomy Set ($121.65 Nett for 1 pax) offers a taste of classic French bistro cuisine.
The starter, French Oysters – Fines De Claire Marennes Olerons N°3, would be the perfect way to begin the meal. Fresh and briny, they are a delight to slurp down with a squeeze of lemon.
The first main dish, Espelette Gambas features plump and juicy prawns with lovely smoky flavour, complemented well by Espelette Bordier butter and garlic.
As for the second main dish, savour the Sole Meunière with tender flesh; accompanied with silky and smooth green pea purée, and roasted peas that would add a lovely crunch.
To end the meal, have the Apple Tart. Enjoy the buttery tart with caramelized apples sweet and tangy. The vanilla ice cream is the perfect accompaniment, adding a cool and creamy contrast.

Enjoy XIA (rebranded from Enjoy Eating House) is a new restaurant located in Kam Leng Hotel, Singapore.
After rebranding, the restaurant has shifted its focus to serving an irresistible dish of Hokkien Mee. Prepared with fresh prawns, squid and roast pork, this signature dish has been receiving rave reviews from customers.
I recently visited Enjoy XIA and had the pleasure of trying out their 2-pax Kris+ Gastronomy set menu priced at $63.80 nett.
The meal started with two delicious sides – the Grilled Banana Leaf Sambal Stingray and the Wok Hei Cabbage in Fish Sauce. The stingray was grilled well, served with Enjoy’s handmade sambal chilli which had a good kick to it.
For the main course, of course there is the Enjoy Signature Super Big Xia Hokkien Mee and the Nu Er Hong Braised Pork Rice Bowl.
The Hokkien Mee with big-fresh prawns, squid, and roast pork was a standout dish. The noodles were cooked well with wok-hei, complete with fresh and succulent seafood. The roast pork added some pleasant crunch and meaty flavour to the dish.

Cheeselads, the artisanal cheese restaurant, offers a gastronomic experience that will satisfy every cheese lover’s craving.
Whether you are an expert or a novice, their menu offers a variety of cheeses from around the world that will tantalise your taste buds.
You can also enjoy cold cuts and wines; with hot food available from Wednesdays to Sundays 3pm onwards.
Their Kris+ Gastronomy Series Menu ($130 Nett for 2 pax) offers a cheese-centric dining experience that will take you on a journey of flavour.
To start, the House-Select Cheeseboard features five carefully curated cheeses that are paired with assorted nuts, dried fruits, and house-made nougats.
For the main course, you can choose any two dishes from three tantalising options.
The Mushroom Risotto is a creamy delight with grilled mushrooms and sweet snowpeas. The Scallop Angel Hair Pasta boasts pan-seared Hokkaido scallops, ikura, kombu, truffle oil, and chives.
Or pick the Aged Ribeye Steak which is a carnivore’s dream, with a 180g grass-fed ribeye accompanied by charred broccolini and beef-fat infused sauce.
The meal ends on a high note with the Fried Camembert Ice Cream, a crispy deep-fried camembert paired with Hokkaido milk vanilla ice cream, dried strawberry crumbles, and a drizzle of leatherwood honey.
Enjoy a celebratory toast with two glasses of your choice of Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Prosecco, or Honey Fizz.

The X.O. Sauce Fried Rice, Australian Scallop & Tiger Prawns makes for a satisfying and filling main course. Finally, end your meal on a sweet note with the Mango Cream, Sago Pearls, Pomelo, Sea Coconut & Love Letter.

The appetiser, Chef Keisuke’s Signature 5 Kinds of Seafood, is a luxurious start to your meal that includes a medley of Kristal Caviar, Shiroebi, Sea Urchin, Kurumaebi, Zuwai Kani, and Lobster Jelly.
The sashimi course will be a perfect follow-up, featuring rich and buttery Toro and paired with Kyushu Kanro Soy Sauce.
The Seafood course features Whole Abalone Kagerou Yaki, which is a unique and flavourful dish that comes with beautiful presentation. This will be followed by Seasonal Vegetables.
Next up, the A5 Ohmi Sirloin will be a standout, with its incredible marbling and melt-in-your-mouth texture; and Garlic Rice with Scallop in Hokkaido Wagyu Beef Consommé.
For dessert, Shizuoka Musk Melon makes a refreshing end to the meal.
