Owned by the same team behind B For Bagel, this is a one-stop shop in which you have Korean grocer, marketplace, and food hall all in one place.
And Tanglin Mall is of walking distance from the newly opened Orchard Boulevard MRT Station (TE13).
If you love some shopping for Korean things, there is BlueBasket which started as an online Korean marketplace where you can find the trendy lifestyle Korean products in Singapore.
With hand-selected products from Korea, they hope to bring the same shopping experience without the premium price tag – “by Koreans, for Singaporeans”.
There is even a Ramyeon Library which carries many brands of Korean instant noodles.
The good thing is, the noodles are sold in separate single packets (rather than a bundle of five), so customers can mix-and-match to try a wider variety.
I am here for the food, so here are some of the stalls from the Market Blue food hall:
Offers variety of Korean-style street food such as Crispy Chicken ($15.90), Soy Sauce Candied Chicken ($18.90), and Sweet & Spicy Marinated Chicken ($18.90).
Korean rice cake lovers can also find Tteokbokki ($11.12) and Rose Tteokbokki ($13.93) here.
GOGIPAN offers the comforting taste of Korean home cooking. They serve up “Baekban” which literally means “white rice”, which consists of Korean home-cooked style meats along with banchan, rice and soup.
Choose from beef, chicken, fish, baekban pork, and you would find a wide arrange of side dishes from kimchi, egg to preserved burdock, accompanied with comforting bowl of Kimchi Jjigae – spicy pork belly stew.
JuMak serves up Meatball Pancake, Munbean Pancakes and Jok-bal – which is Korean pork trotters with chewy texture, braised in a special herbal mixture.
A Korean-style bakery focusing on desserts and sweet treats. If you love your Jeju tangerines, you can find them here.
