Surprise, surprise. Hong Kong’s The Chairman 大班樓 has clinched the coveted Asia’s Best Restaurant for the first time.

The restaurant located at Hong Kong Central is known for dishes such as Steamed Fresh Flowery Crab with Aged ShaoXing Wine, Braised Spare Ribs with Preserved Plums in Caramelized Black Vinegar, and The Chairman’s Soy Sauce Chicken.

Singapore’s representatives on the Top 50 include Odette (No 2), Les Amis (No 13), Burnt Ends (No 14), Zen (No 23), Cloudstreet (No 31), Labyrinth (No 40), Euphoria (No 41) and Jaan by Kirk Westaway (No 42).

Cloudstreet by Sri Lankan chef Rishi Naleendra, Labyrinth by Chef LG Han, and Euphoria by Chef Jason Tan are NEW on the list.
