Japanese Pastry Shop Opens At Tanjong Pagar Centre
If you need a short reprise off work, or a place to chit-chat with friends, Henri Charpentier has opened a European Salon style café at Tanjong Pagar Centre.
The Japanese pastry brand is known for its gorgeous and delicate French-inspired pastries and desserts.
Their signature Crepe Suzette has also made its return at this branch. Watch the blue flame flicker while the crêpes soaked in rich orange juice are meticulously flambéed.

Opening Hours: 8:00am – 7:00pm (Mon – Fri)
Stylish Menswear Retail Store & Café At Duxton Road
Monument Lifestyle is a part retail store, part café. Can I say finally – the collection is for men.
Many brands featured are exclusive in Singapore, and it is where you can get a wardrobe revamp from labels of Katin, Alex Mill and Hari Marit, accessories, and grooming products.
Coffee beans were from Four Barrel Coffee, known to be one of the best coffee roasters in San Francisco. Light bites available include Artisanal Toasts with toppings of Cinnamon, Apple Caramel, Lemon Curd, Nutella with Sea Salt or Avocado ($6.50 – $9.50). Monument Lifestyle (Duxton Road)

Fun-Looking Poke Bar And Deli At Keong Saik
The fun looking Loloku took over Lollapalooza at The Working Capitol, sharing space with Don Ho Social Kitchen and Bar. Loloku is Poke Bowl shop Number XX in Singapore, joining the influx of other similar shops in the CBD area.
5 basic bowls are offered, along with a DIY “Build you own bowl” option.
I ordered the Wikiwiki Salmon ($14), and some might like that there were a lot going on in a single bowl, as if it was more value-for-money. A bit of kimchi here, some avocado there.
In terms of taste and freshness (I probably have tried 90% of the Poke Bowl shops in Singapore), this bowl would rank somewhere in the middle. Perhaps heartier portions would have helped. Loloku (Keong Siak)

An ‘Underground’ Undiscovered Cafe Near City Hall
This cafe sees itself as “an underground code shared by only those in the know” – akin to the Dot & Dash.
Dot & Dash is located at the basement of High Street Centre along North Bridge Road, could be hidden out of plain sight.
Coffee is sourced from Papa Palheta. The menu consists of a variety of Croissants such as butter, almond, chocolate, and ham & cheese ($3.00 – $7.00), Sandwiches of olives & tomato mozzarella, ham & cheese, tuna mayo, sesame camembert ($7.50 – $8.50), and sweets of Lemon Meringue, Chocolate Tart, Chocolate Éclair ($6.00 – $7.50). Where Coffee Meets Craft
Another café which can be an Instagram heaven with feel.
Groundstory Stories is a merge of café on one side, crafts and hand-made tableware on the other. Therefore, every cup and plates that come with the cakes and drinks could be an art in itself.
Coffee is sourced from Common Man, while cakes are from a home-baker. I liked the Black Sesame Cake.
