Hidden away on the second floor of a building in Causeway Bay is Mamaday, the second outlet of Taipei’s Mamaday café. When I finally navigated my way upstairs, I saw a sign on their front door there says “Members only. To apply for membership, touch your tongue to your elbow.” Seriously? I read further and thankfully it’s meant to be a joke. One of the owners of the original Mamaday is a Hong Kong native and decided to open up a second outlet back home.
