“What is this? We come alllll to way to Sydney, and we are having Malaysian food?” The type of questions asked when the group of Singaporeans hunt for supper, and find ourselves queuing for 30 minutes at 10 degrees outside Mamak at Chinatown Haymarket. Mamak offers Malaysian style street food You know, the type we can get back home (in Singapore) between SGD$2-$5 sometimes downstairs where we stay. There we went, ordering Mee Goreng (AUD$12), Nasi Lemak (AUD$9), Nasi Goreng (AUD$12), Satay (AUD$9 for half dozen, AUD$16 for dozen), and Roti Canai (AUD$5.50). And oh, not forgetting......
