La Cantine – Helmed by 3-Starred Michelin Chef. But Wait, He’s Leaving

I had originally wanted to write that La Cantine’s Chef Bruno Ménard is the first and only 3-starred Michelin Chef to be permanently based in Singapore. It was until that the Deliciae Group (who also owns L’Entrecôte and Sabio by The Sea) announced they will be parting ways next month. Most of the other ‘Michelin’ restaurants in Singapore (Singapore has no Michelin inspectors) use that word as a branding and marketing tool, with the chef lending a name and brand, but few essentially based here. All good things must come to an end. What would La Cantine’s fate be?......
