Weekday Tea Time Promotion (3pm – 5pm) – 50% discount off Bingsoo AND Quick Bites
The 20 Bingsoo varieties take inspiration from the bustling streets in South Korea, and are named after metro stations in Seoul, such as Gangnam, Sinsa, Dongdaemun, Sinchon, Jamsil and Myeongdong.
If you are craving to have some cooling desserts during the hot mid-days, here are some of the recommended Bingsoo and Quick Bites:
Sinsa Patbingsoo ($15.90++ before 50% OFF)
This is very value-for-money, especially when the signature bingsoo comes with an ENTIRE rock melon. (Those of you who bought from fruit stalls would know how much even a slice cost.)
The melon is specially cut to shape, works like a container, packed with fillings of smooth shaved ice, pat (red bean), nata de coco, cornflakes, almond, vanilla ice cream.
After you are done with eating the stuff inside, you finish with a naturally sweet ending of the rock melon.
Bibim Patbingsoo ($12.90++ before 50% OFF)
The “egg” in the middle of this instagrammable bingsoo is actually made of vanilla ice cream topped with peach.
With fruits, jelly, pat, nata de coco, you drizzle some strawberry sauce over the snow ice and mix them all up – just like how you would eat a bibimbap rice bowl.
Apgujeong Bingsoo ($13.90++ before 50% OFF)
Consider this cheese overload. A bingsoo included with cheese cake, cheese sauce and vanilla ice cream, drizzled with cheese sauce, topped with shredded cheese. It works.
Mango Sticky Rice Bingsoo ($17.90++ before 50% OFF)
Inspired by the famous Thai dessert, on top of the Bingsoo was whipped coconut cream. As you dig further into the shaved mango-flavoured ice, you get some sticky rice below for a surprise.
Popcorn Chicken (Honey Garlic / Spicy) ($6.90)
The Dakgangjeong is a popular street snack in Korea. Patbingsoo’s take comes with chicken pieces deep fried till crisp, mixed with topokki rice cakes, then coated with Patbingsoo’s special sticky, spicy and sweet sauce. Very addictive.
Fried Samgyeobsal ($7.90++)
Koreans eat quite a fair bit of Samgyeobsal – slices of pork belly commonly seen in Korean BBQ, but this comes even more sinful as it is deep-fried.
Surprisingly, the pieces were served relatively thin, so you do not have to worry about this being overly greasy.
Skewed rice cake wrapped with bacon in sweet red chilli sauce.
Chicken Skin ($7.90++)
Crispy chicken skin with savoury fries, drizzled over with rich tangy nacho cheese sauce.

Diners can also enjoy a hearty Korean meal from just $10.90++ onwards, for the Weekday Lunch Set menu. (Note: Prices quoted are for Vivocity outlet. Set lunches at Plaza Singapura, Northpoint City and Jurong Point are a dollar less.)
The “lunch hour” lasts from 11:30am all the way till 5pm.
Cheese Kimchi Fried Rice (Pork/Beef) ($10.90++ with soft drink)
The kimchi and gochujang sauce give the fried rice a spicy and tangy Korean kick, included with lots of mozzarella for a cheesy finish.
Dub Bab (Pork/Beef/Chicken) ($10.90++ with soft drink)
In Korea, “Dup or Dub Bap” means that the food comes with meat, rice and some vegetables.
The hearty meal comes with mixed rice served in a hot stone bowl, served with meat, kimchi, egg and seaweed. You can choose between juicy pork belly, beef or chicken.
Kimchi Mandu Jjigae ($11.90++ with soft drink)
Deep-fried Mandu or handmade Korean Dumplings wrapped with minced pork and vegetables (or kimchi with pork), on a simmering hot kimchi stew.
House Special Ramyeon (Spicy / Non-Spicy) ($12.90++ with soft drink)
Still my favourite lunch dish, most likely due to the rich, spicy soup which was quite shiok, with kimchi adding a layer of mouth-watering tanginess. Plus it was included with simple yet comforting ingredients of minced pork, spam, kimchi and seafood.
