ZENSE Gourmet Deck & Lounge Panorama – Best Panoramic Views Of Bangkok City

ZENSE Gourmet Deck & Lounge Panorama – Best Panoramic Views Of Bangkok City
by

[Bangkok] The view here is spectacular, as you stop at to wonder at the 360 degree breath-taking views of Bangkok city from the rooftop.

ZENSE Gourmet Deck & Lounge Panorama is part of the HEAVEN Bangkok concept, which also houses Shintori Japanese Art Cuisines & Sake Bar, Horizons International Tapas Cuisines & Bar, and HEAVEN-on-ZEN.

I have been to Central World and ZEN several times, but did not have the chance to venture high enough (to Level 17 onwards) to check out this dining destination with both indoor and outdoor sittings.

The interior décor is so modern and chic, clothed in prominently monochromatic with purple hues. Huge disco balls hang from the ceilings, with slantwise stairways leading you up and down to the different concepts. DJs come at night to play lounge-to-party music.

Outside, you see soft cushioned deck chairs under tents, a mixologist section stylishly decorated in gold. You can somewhat peek over to see the colourful, buzzling and usually jammed city – This is Bangkok.

Food wise, ZENSE has a varied concept, with menus from 5 kitchens – Thai by White Café, Italian by Gianni’s, Indian by Red, Modern European by To Die For, Japanese by Kikusui and desserts by their own patisserie team.

Thai by White Café. Tod mun poo (300 baht), crab meat cake fried until golden and crisp, served with light green curry sauce.

Italian by Gianni’s. Sogliola Lemenda (690 baht), grilled whole lemon sole with white wine, lemon and caper sauce.

Modern European by To Die For. Hokkaido scallops with mango salsa (380 baht), seared blackened Cajun scallops served with mango salsa.

Japanese by Kikusui. Black olive-flavoured beef cubes (750 baht), pan fried marinated beef cubes with pear and shoyu sauce, served with fried gobo root, topped with black olive sauce, cherry tomato and fried sweet basil.

Desserts by ZENSE. Yuzu cheesecake (195 baht) with passion fruit and mango sorbet and tropical fruit cubes, and Banana Tart (195 baht) served with roasted almond sherbet and preserved dark cherries.

Food wise, I thought that the deserts were most impressionable and value for its money.

Prices may be more expensive than many restaurants in downtown Bangkok, but you are paying a premium for its expansive view, stylish decor and perhaps unforgettable experience.
